One man Noise Rock Band from Austin Texas the city known for its outsider artists ala Roky Erickson and Daniel Johnston. Gene Stiegler continues that outsider music tradition of the Austin vibe with Sockeye Steelhead. Gene is a veteran of the Austin Punk scene going back to the early 1980s with various punk bands and noise projects under his belt including a live stint as Bass Player for an infamous show with GG Allin in 1985 that can be found on GG’s boozin and pranks album. Several of Genes previous bands and his unreleased rehearsal tape with GG will all see release on Birdeater in time to come.
